We are currently seeking individuals to interface with customers by phone, record customer
information and orders into computer, and offer cross sell or upsell opportunities
on a seasonal basis. As the Seasonal Phone Sales Representative
you will be responsible for:
* Talking with customers by phone in a
professional and courteous manner, using the computer to:
* Create customer accounts.
* Process sales orders for parts and accessories
* Process catalog requests
* Determine and communicate prices for parts requested
* Answer question regarding basic order status
* Interpret customer account information
* Soliciting sale of feature,
cross-sell, and up-sell products to customers, including Gold Club Memberships
* Processing both Domestic and International customer
orders.
* Controlling calls, and meeting/exceeding
customer needs and expectations. Also
displaying good judgment by enlisting the assistance of supervisory or mentor
help when required.
* Developing product and technical
knowledge
* Using J&P Cycles catalog and web
resources
* Displaying flexibility in work
schedule.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory
responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous telephone sales or parts
sales experience is a plus, but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to
read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract three
digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using
units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to deal with
problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
