Joel Westra

Joel is a graduate of Hamilton Technical College with a degree in Electronics Engineering.

Joel Westra joined J&P Cycles in 2008 and has spent more than 20 years working in the field of information technology. Prior to J&P Cycles, he gained experience in systems operations, network engineering, and engineering management which included national and international responsibilities. Mr. Westra's technical experience covers a wide range of industries including consulting, manufacturing, telecommunications, tele-services, e-commerce, and retail. Mr. Westra has also previously served as a member of the Cisco Connection Online E-commerce advisory board in San Francisco, CA and received a Committed to Quality operations award and Network Operations Award for operational excellence. He is a graduate of Hamilton Technical College with a degree in Electronics Engineering.

Mr. Westra is directly responsible for Information Technology and E-commerce infrastructure and operations. Mr. Westra’s leadership drives the technical direction and strategy, vendor negotiations and management, Design engineering, implementations and operational support of company assets.

Mr. Westra’s hobbies include custom home theater entertainment projects, woodworking and furniture refinishing, and restoring vintage Honda motorcycles.
