SUMMARY
Provide technical administration support to computers, networks, and systems by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Front line Help Desk professional supporting and maintaining PC desktop and server equipment in an MS Windows Active Directory environment.
* Provide desktop computer support including PC imaging, configuration/installation, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues as needed.
* User account and security management.
* Support and maintain an enterprise, multisite Avaya environment.
* Participate and/or recommend purchases of computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
* Support network operational needs in a Cisco VolP enabled network.
* Provide installation and troubleshooting support of telecommunication T1 and POTs lines.
* Travel to special events on occasion to support the technical needs of the company.
* Assist other IT support staff members as needed.
* Evaluate and/or recommend
purchases of computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Demonstrated knowledge of PC desktop

knowledge of patch management in a Microsoft windows environment
* Highly skilled in PC

* Prior experience supporting Macs
a plus
* Prior experience
supporting Cisco network equipment a plus
* Prior experience troubleshooting
voice and data T1 circuits and POTs lines a plus
* Prior experience
supporting enterprise wireless infrastructure a plus
* Prior experience
supporting an enterprise Avaya VoIP platform a plus
* Prior experience
managing data backups a plus
* Ability to manage multiple
projects and operational tasks simultaneously
* Highly developed verbal and
written communications and great customer service skills required
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree
(A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
recommended. Occupational certifications (CCNA/CCNP, CNA/CNE, MCSA/MCSE,
CompTIA A+) in related field also recommended.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read,
analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write
reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,
clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS
Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve
practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
